Tan Chuan Jin is a Singaporean politician who is currently serving as the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore. He was born on 10 January 1969 in Singapore and graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Social Sciences. He has served in various government roles, including as the Minister for Social and Family Development and the Minister for Manpower. He is also a retired Brigadier-General in the Singapore Armed Forces. Tan Chuan Jin is known for his advocacy of social causes such as conservation, youth development and volunteerism. He is married with two children.
